this was a painting I did at the very end of the year (i was coming in to school just to finish it ^_^)
Its a sort of hand of fatima image, though with my own special twist )
I used masking tape to do most of it, and theres a top and bottom of the painting that isnt visible, though it doesnt detract from the image too much. The background was fun to do, and is much more colorful than is immediately apparent. I did a sort of rainbow swirl with watery acrylic paints, then once that had dried, I did a glaze with clear silver and gold paints, mixed with white to make it a bit more substantial. The swirls were all intentional, and give the background a lot of texture.

Beautiful and powerful image. If you visit this subject again I would hope you might read my "The Fatima Tree". Anyway, I enjoyed your vision of Fatima.
