This is the crowning glory of my set. I began the set with an all-seeing eye pin which was, excuse my language, but a bit sh**. You can kind of see it in the full set picture, it is an unfortunate waste of silver. This piece was incredibly thought out, just up to the point of over thinking it. I ran into one intense set-back but it only set me back about a day, all told. This piece was considered from every angle in several ways. I wanted it to be three dimensional, I wanted the stone to be the iris, thus underneath a lid and a pupil. It was a lot of unique problem solving, with how to put the stone in and how to set it up and how to make it not boring. I used etching, riveting, bezel setting, fine silver for the lid and pupil, i used liver of sulfur to do some varied patinas. This is my favorite pin of the set and I plan on making it in gold and silver with a slightly larger stone in the future.
whether it is obvious or not, i was heavily inspired by the enchanter epic 2.0 for this, but only one or two aesthetic elements, and it was quite honestly satisfying finally using my love for that piece of concept art to reflect itself into reality, not just a 3d model.
i used silver, brass, copper, fine silver and a 7mm citrine buff-top.
