Here Come the Drums?

I just started a blog recently and I mention it because I am using it to document my forays into weaving sans school studios.
I got myself a beautiful (big) loom and I am working on things. If y'all are curious about how its going, check the blog out here;

I will post photos of finished products here, but sometimes, especially with weaving I find, the process is just as interesting especially when you cant experience the product first hand.

I am a sculptor and a jeweler who dabbles in textiles. I studied jewelry mainly at Skidmore ('09) but after doing ceramics for the last 2 years i was hooked. I took 2 years off after graduating and am now moving into sculpture with clay as a medium while being shop manager and a resident artist at the Saratoga Clay Arts Center in Saratoga Springs, NY. I am putting together a graduate portfolio and hope to attend a graduate program to earn my MFA in the next few years. I hope to one day teach at a college level but I am also content to see where life takes me.
